Our grandmothers hair recipes…..does it work?
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve listen to so many recipes, I add to tell you guys. Like one I heard, was to take of the relaxer in our hair, we have to pour BEER. Can you believe it! I’ll smell like a alcoholic person. Anyways! Or mayonnaise on the head? Tell me, is there a professional that can tell me if it truth, cause I don’t want to pour nothing silly on me. Or my boyfriend to think I started drinking!
So I decided to try and find other recipes, to see what else people would suggest. I find that Vinegar could be a good rinse. To help a tired perm and it add shine to your hair. You shampoo and conditioner your hair as usual. After put 1 part vinegar with 7 parts water; pour everything on your head. With your finger or a comb, even the liquid on your tresse. Do not shampoo again! Wow!…….
Another one is Olive oil deep Conditioning (I’ve heard a lot about this one)
It’s good for people with dry hair or to keep your dark from lightening. Put together 1 cup of Olive oil, 1 whole egg and 1/3 cup honey. Pour it evenly on your head. Cover your head with a plastic wrap for about 3 hours or overnight, as you wish.
Maybe I would try it, but I’m a little afraid for the eggs. Guess I’ll leave it on for 3 hours, not overnight. Imagine the boyfriend face, when he sees you with a facial mask, and a plastic wrap with beer or egg on your head. UMMM! Tasty!
Big Cie in our world
Posted by: | CommentsWhen I was a teenager, my mother and I went to the hairdresser. The women give me a hair style, like the one in ‘Coming to America’ (with Eddie Murphy).
Remember, when there was a party and there were 3 men sitting on a sofa, and when they got up. You could see all the grease that staid on the sofa. The name was So Glow! Every body remembers that. After that beautiful but greasy hairstyle, I promise myself never to put this on my child’s hair.

Today, thank god! We have more advance products for our hair. Even big companies, like Pantene pro V and L’Oreal have an interest in our hair. When I heard it, I was surprise but happy that a big Cie like Pantene would want to produce products for us. I decided to try these products. I’ll tell you guys all about it, after I do my little investigation.
Quick Tips for Black women’s hair at the gym
Posted by: | CommentsGoing to the gym is great! But for us, black women, our hair is a reel pain in the.. Here are some quick tips for the gym that I found by doing a little research on the net.
I found out that a good leave-in-conditioner is perfect for relax hair. Like my hair. It will moisturize and condition the hair. It’s right because whey sweat while working out. You can also smoothes your hair back with a nice headband made in cotton.
Women with natural hair, it’s a bit different, it need more moisture because of the curly texture. Putting your hair in loose cornrows would be great style for the gym.
After the work out, its shower time. Finding the right shampoo can be a bit challenging, but not impossible. You will need a deep cleansing shampoo to remove the salt that was made by the sweat, while working out. A good conditioner will give more moisture.
But braid? What about the braids? They say to use a dry shampoo to wash with. No need to use water, light oil sheen will do just fine. with these tips I will work out more often.
